I choose the faces of women on the covers of magazines from the 1960 and 1970. I trace them and produce a new image. Then, I add deep sea organisms and insects in the form of collage. All the hazardous beings that strive to come to the surface and make “damage”. These creatures symbolize something unknown, something that wants to emerge from the watery depths, from the depths of the subconscious. A rough sea always has a tendency towards the unknown and it is a powerful symbol of the collective unconscious, of the oldest and deepest part of the psyche. The desire to explore the sea bed represents our nostalgia for the mysterious, uncharted depths, for the hidden potentials of our own souls: the things we never knew, never experienced and never dared to do.
