The artist used recycled materials to make this hen! After shaping it, she tore black and white papers and glued them all around the sculpture! She also added movement and thickness by looping the torn papers! Acrylic paint and pearl for the eyes! A very personal creation! Unique and original! A nod to the hen's usefulness: she helps to destroy waste by eating it! So she's helping to save the planet! The artist placed her in an old peasant basket found in her grandparents' basement! A creation is the beginning of an Adventure between the Artist and the Collector... Born in Grenoble on 24 July .... into a family of artists, Christiane Guerry is a painter and sculptor who has lived and worked in Nice since 1989. MUSIC AND PAINTING Having grown up in an artistic environment with a tenor father and a painter and musician uncle, Christiane Guerry naturally turned towards the arts. At the age of 6, she went into a coma and came back with her double (her 1/2 sister who died at the age of 3). She experienced strange feelings and sensations (the Real and the Iréel mixed together, the duality of the person, good and evil, etc.). At the age of 18, Christiane Guerry worked with the painter Mercédes Henry for 3 years, who nicknamed her "The painter of colours" and advised her to take flight. PAINTER OF COLOURS Christiane Guerry's painting can be described as timeless, informal and obsessive. She makes everyday life her own, adding her own emotions, imagination and vision of the world by playing with materials and light, colours, shapes and movement. A solitary creator, she plays with the real and the rational to approach the unreal and the irrational! INTERNATIONAL SCOPE Since 1971, Christiane Guerry has taken part in numerous group and solo exhibitions in France and abroad, from Paris to Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates.
