Searching for the truth I was born on 10 July 1970 in Skierniewice (Poland). In 2007 I graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz. I studied at the Faculty of Graphics and Painting. I completed my university years by receiving a diploma with honours in the painting studio of professor Marian Kępiński and assistant professor Gabriel Kołat. I have been painting since then. My main focus is painting, drawing and graphics. The man I present through portraits, nudes and symbolic images has become the inspiration for my work. In painting, I look for the truth in my own expression, based on my personal experiences, emotional states and relations between me and the person portrayed. Transience - Yukio Mishima Beauty, love and life pass by. You are passing, I am passing, we are all passing. Nothing is permanent, everything is in a continuous process of arising and passing away, birth and death. This state of a strongly felt rhythm of impermanence, going into the past, accompanies me very strongly in my life. Strong, because it is very noticeable and very absorbing. It takes up my mind, my consciousness, and even my heart rate as I think about it. I still do not agree to this process. I want to last longer, be strong, with a full breast, without fear. I want to exist forever. After all, there is so much to do, see and get. In my life there is a lot of fascination, love, admiration for people, animals, nature, the earth and the cosmos. It is a pity that I have a certain time for all this, the length of which I do not even know. The character who fascinated me, who made and still makes an extraordinary impression on me, was Yukio Mishima - the man who also passed away. That’s why I decided to dedicate him my 12 portraits. The man who I know only from photos, films, texts about him and those in which he wrote about himself. He, Mishima, became a pretext for me to take a painterly look at the transience of beauty when it is special. His face became my visual story about the transience of a human being and his life at the moment when he reached this unique state of "blooming", glowing at which you can bask and from which you can draw strength, energy, knowledge, charisma. He passed away at the age of 45 of his own free will. The way he did it became very heroic. Extremely brave for me. While painting the portrait of Mishima, I had the great pleasure of being with him.
