Elegant and stunning simple pure minimal, a window into another ethereal world. Rich viscous industrial Japanese oil enamel in "Burnt Tea" color hand applied with a mechanical-industrial repetitive technique, over a shimmering ground of quality German gold sprayed enamel. Trump "won"...America Lost. As America enters into its final days of Empire, with the Trump camp fabricating lies, claims of stolen elections, MAGA mania, Civel War 2.0 gets closer. The rally cry and best advice for and from preppers, concerned and scared American citizens. Stay Safe All. Beautiful interplay of rich creamy oil texture against glossy shimmering gold on large wooden panel. Original motivation for this painting came from wordplay and fractal dynamics in structure and language from David Foster Wallace novel "Infinite Jest", and subsequent interviews with the author (RIP) on his fascination with fractals, Sierpinski Gaskets and its ramifications for Art both verbal and visual. Layers of underpainting result in rich texture. An entire narrative encased and enshrined in shimmering gold and copper. Extremely beautiful, sophisticated, showing the history of the piece, its conception, growth and execution. A true stunner!

Things, not pictures of things. Talismans, Portals, Offerings. As an American living and making art in Japan, the opposing worlds of Past and Present, West and East, Fact and Fiction blend. This work takes shape at those intersections of real and imagined, lived and dreamed, recalled and fabricated. The work exists in the gap between actual events and memory imagined, created, distorted, magnified and buried. ---
