From the tender age of fifth grade, art became my sanctuary, not just a means of expression but a lifeline steering me away from darker paths. Growing up with the weight of a severely mentally ill mother, creating art became more than a passion—it became my identity, a positive channel for emotions that could have otherwise led to trouble.
